Abandoning Pharmaceutical Terrorism |

In reality, there is no contest: there is only medical truth that all faithful health care practitioners can devote themselves to. We can stay with the allopathic paradigm, but only if we abandon the terrorism of the pharmaceutical companies. Medical truth is a harsh master that demands we give up our medical arrogance, for arrogance is never helpful to our patients. The highest height of medical arrogance, and a clear repeat of the concentration camp Nazi doctors, is seen in forcing medical treatment on people and their children. Second to this is the absolute refusal to see how unhelpful and how hurtful most pharmaceutical drugs actually are.
“Physicians, for so long, have long assumed that they are always right: this paternalism has both upheld the professional integrity of medicine and fractured the doctor-patient relationship. In most cases, physicians are right with respect to the science, but this doesn’t always mean that what we advocate is right for the patient,” writes Dr. Lester Y. Leung who goes on to say, “It is said that medicine is both an art and a science. Various individuals may emphasize one aspect over the other, noting certain insufficiencies in the training and practice of physicians. However, neither should be emphasized at the expense of the other: physicians need to maximize the efficacy of both their scientific reasoning and their interpersonal skills.”
The art of being a physician does not stop with interpersonal skills. The lost art of medical intuition has been trashed in favor of a hard arrogant intellect that’s insists its right even when it’s wrong.
The pharmaceutical companies are not the sole problem with medicine though they are definitely the biggest problem. The arrogance of doctors goes beyond that and gets deep into their psychological beings and the doctors profound identification with God or at least being one in front of their patients eyes.
It is sad that medical truth is hidden further and further from view with the world of natural medicine seeming to be going down the same path as allopathic medicine with the confusion over products and their own greediness to put a name to their own "natural" medicinal concoctions. And the pharmaceutical companies have their hand in this. Many own some of the natural or nutraceutical companies.
